Research Interests

Seawater desalination and Membrane separation technology: ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF), reverse osmosis (RO), forward osmosis (FO), organic solvent nanofiltration (SRNF) and related membranes processes for energy conservation and process strengthening in chemical related industry

Achievements:

We have explored seawater softening technology using nanofiltration for offshore water flooding and polymer solution preparation aiming at polymer solution injection for oil production. We have made much achievement in fabrication of organic solvent nanofiltration membranes with high throughput, high perm-selectivity, high solvent resistance, as well as high anti-fouling performance. We have published more than 30 scientific papers. We have applied over 20 patents and more than 10 of them are authorized by the Patent Office of China.
